Josette Wiggan is a world renowned tap dancer originally from LA. She performs on the best stages throughout the world and leads workshops for hundreds of people. In Israel she is primarily a mother, who emigrated out of love.

Between over visibility and invisibility, between heard and unheard, between worlds, between situations, between the glam and the dull, between familiar and foreign. Always in between, tapping into the next.

Shira Eviatar and Josette Wiggan

Shira Eviatar is an independent choreographer and dancer based in Tel Aviv. She has performed her works in festivals throughout Israel and Europe, such as Rencontres chorégraphiques Festival, Fabbrica Europa festival, Curtain Up, Diver Festival, International Exposure, Malta Festival, Fresh – Tanztage Braunschweig, La Becquee Festival, EPOS Film Festival / Tel Aviv Museum of Art,and recently has been invited by the Bat-Sheva Dance Company to perform her work Rising and as a guest artist at SEAD. Eviatar was selected for a unique residency project of the international Cumplicidades festival in Portugal and the AADK in Spain which aimed at generating dialogue between the artists of the Mediterranean area. ​Eviatar is fascinated by the roots of the body and mind and how we embody our past generations, traditions and cultures. She is a DanceWeb scholarship program participant (2015) and holds a degree in dance theatre from Kibbutzim College. She studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York and in Kelim – a body for choreographic research.

JOSETTE WIGGAN is a world class international tap dancer from LA. Her career highlights include Disney’s animated film Princess and the Frog, the original casts of Cirque du Soleil’s Banana Shpeel and Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour, Michelle Dorrance new work in Jacob’s Pillow festival, the 1st National Broadway Tour of 42nd Street, the 2003 Rockette Christmas Spectacular. She is a winner of the 2001 Spotlight awards in non-classical dance category and holds a BA in World Arts and Cultures from University of California, Los Angeles. Josette is often an invited guest teacher and dancer in festivals all over the world. Currently, she resides in Tel Aviv, Israel and is performing with her husband’s band, Ron and the Red Beans.
